Virus TI2

SYNTHESIZER · USED MARKET ONLY

The Access Virus TI2 is a digital virtual-analog synthesizer made by the German manufacturer Access Music, introduced in the late 2000s as a revised version of the Virus TI running on faster DSP hardware. Alongside virtual-analog waveforms its oscillators offer wavetable, grain and formant modes and FM, and each patch is routed through an on-board multi-effects section; the instrument is multitimbral and allocates voices dynamically, so the polyphony available varies with patch complexity. Its Total Integration system connects the hardware to a DAW over USB through the Virus Control plug-in, which carries audio and MIDI and exposes the synthesizer's parameters inside the host.
