EPS

The Ensoniq EPS is a digital sampling keyboard introduced in the late 1980s as the successor to the company's Mirage sampler. It combines sampling and sample playback with an onboard sequencer, stores sounds and sequences on 3.5-inch floppy disks, and has a velocity-sensitive keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch. Ensoniq followed it with the EPS 16 Plus and later the ASR-10, and samplers from this line were widely used for sample-based hip-hop and dance production.
