OB-Xa

The Oberheim OB-Xa is an analog polyphonic synthesizer that was produced in the early 1980s, with two voltage-controlled oscillators per voice feeding a resonant low-pass filter. It was sold in four-, six-, and eight-voice configurations, and offers split and layer modes so that two programs can be played from the same keyboard. It is generally associated with thick brass and pad sounds in 1980s rock and pop.
